Melaka is now my favorite city! - 7 must-see/s or do/s + breakdown cost!
Melaka is one of the town/ city in Malaysia that you should part in your list. Just a little bit background, Melaka is the town where a Chinese lady fell in love with a Malay lad. According to Chinese culture once you fell in love with a not Chinese person you should have your own culture and food and prove that you will have a wealthy life. And the couple successfully proved that until now where you can see in the museum how wealthy they were.
I was lucky that Ecky gave me the drive to drop me off in the hostel I booked, thank you Ecky. I will really recommend - RELISH THE MOMENT hostel for only 2 USD plus 1 USD foreign tax, free cycle, 5 ringgit voucher for food and just next to the river, also you can wash your clothes- very suitable for a budget traveler like me.
I arrived in the hostel which a beautiful chica surprised me with a good smile that it all started to a short friendship - Esther. She invited me dinner but I was just too tired that refused the offer but say yes for breakfast. It was really cool, she became like a tour guide for a whole day as she is local and knowledgable about this town, and I am so grateful for that, thank you, Esther.

7 must-see/s or do/s in Melaka!
1. Christ Church that was built 1753!- is an 18th-century Anglican church in the city of Malacca City, Malaysia. It is the oldest functioning Protestant church in Malaysia and is within the jurisdiction of the Lower Central Archdeaconry of the Anglican Diocese of West Malaysia.
2. Portugal Ship Replica- Flor do Mar or Flor de la Mar (Flower of the Sea), spelled Frol de la Mar in all Portuguese chronicles of the 16th century,[1] was a Portuguese nau (carrack) of 400 tons, which over nine years participated in decisive events in the Indian Ocean until her sinking in November 1511. Nobleman Afonso de Albuquerque was returning from the conquest of Malacca, bringing with him a large treasure trove for the Portuguese king, when the ship was lost off the coast of Sumatra. A replica of Flor do Mar is housed in the Maritime Museum in Malacca, Malaysia.
3. Night Market- or Jonker Street Night Market is a Bustling open-air market on weekend nights with an array of food & souvenirs, plus entertainment located in Jalan Hang Jebat, 75200 Melaka and only open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6pm.
4. Honey Bee Tour + free taste! - or Melipoly Honey (Jonker Street, Melaka) - Malaysia Organic Honey Producer. It is located in 141, Jalan Hang Jebat, Melaka, 75200 Melaka and open from 9 to 10 pm. Messy as the Sales marketer will explain it very well and she is so good about it and very friendly! She let us tried the different honey syrup and some different tea. I just knew that when a king bee will mate to a queen, they died. Too bad for king bee.
5. Tea Shop!- The tea shop is along the street of Relish the moment hostel/ homestay and the owner is so nice to offer tea and it's been operated for a long time as it has been featured to some books and magazines. All teas are from China. The name of the store is in Chinese character, you can check the photos below if you are interested to check it out if you will be in Melaka.
6. Walking/ Cycling along the River- On my first day I did my cycle and check the city but I think it is better to see the town by walking, you will appreciate it more by being free and you can stop anywhere without thinking where you can park your bike. Also, there are some cars and no cycle lane - so I bet you better walk if you are like me.
7. Best Doughnut of Melacca - so Ecky's friend brought us to the best doughnut in the town! It is so soft and perfect yummy like not so sweet! Check the photos below the name of the bakeshop. And as I remembered it is a bit far as we went there by car. Also the best Laksa is across to the bakeshop. Thank you to Ecky and her friend to let me try this delicious doughnut!
MELAKA really stole my heart! I booked another 2 nights again! :)
For cheaper and nice location, stay in RELISH THE MOMENT dormitory/ homestay :)
