Top 7 things you must to do in gold mountain or Mt. Diwata or Diwalwal of Monkayo Comval

After I was back my trip from Thailand, I promise myself to see myself the called gold mountain of my town. Very ironic to never visit this called mountain that I was even born in poblacion monkayo which is its like 3-4 hours away from this mountain that producing gold.

Let's talk first what is this mountain all about by wiki.

Mt. Diwata or Diwalwal ot gold mountain is one of the largest source of gold in the Philippines. It was named Diwata or in English its like fairy because of its ability to produce gold and at the same time taking peoples lives. According to one of the resident in this gold mountain once there is landslide and people died , this mountain is abundant of gold , thus most man risk their lives getting inside of this mountain to get some golds and will help them to earn as they think better than a regular job.

It may sound creepy a bit at first bcs I did my research first before second myself to visit this mountain.

I can still remember there was a day like 8 years ago, I joined an essay contest and the question is about this mountain and since I never been in this mountain before , all I wrote was the opposite as I described it.

Lucky me one of my moms hired person to take in charge of us little, lived in this island. She once visited in our house and when I talked to her she makes me believe that I am safe to visit this mountain. Because of her I made it to see this called gold mountain.

By the way she is now big time in that mountain so I can't mention her name but I'm really thankful for having a good stay when I stay there! Merci unni :)

So here's the top 7 things you must to see or check or do in gold mountain!

1. ) enjoy the bumpy rocky road!
- it may be rocky, slippery , the other side is a big nowhere cliff! But do not forget to have faith that everything will be alright! Relax! You'll get to the top when you won't give up! Enjoy the view while getting to the top by a single motor! It takes tmx or single motor to get here especially if rainy days due to slippery and very stiff of road.

2. The lights from the houses at night looks
like stars in the heaven.
- in the morning it looks like mess but its true that everything has a beautiful side and you can really see it at night while enjoying the cold breeze to be here!!

3. Don't get inside the tunnel if you don't want to die!
- its funny I state it like that. But its true that once you let yourself get inside in the tunnel you know if you are still alive to come out due to some bar down accidents. Others call it, the mountain gets the pay. But others still have courage bcs of poverty  they believe that this is the fast way to lift the life from poverty to good life.

4. U call it dirty but they call it food!
- it melts my heart to see this boy in the unclear water. When I ask him what is he doing, he said he's looking some stones or rocks that may contain gold that left that he can sell for food.

5. Check the gold by yourself!
- lucky me I was with my unni to sell her gold produced to this store . this store will be the distributor to the malls and other jewelry shop in some town or cities they calk it buyer of gold.

6. Omg kids are so lovely, play with them!
- you may think kids now are in phones and computers. Well dont include these kids bcs these kids still know what play means!

7. See the mountain across by yourself!
- bcs that white mountain is impossible to reach due to some issues that no ones go there bcs most people climb there never come back we climb by motor the other mountain to have a photo seeing the gold mountain.

To amera and his brother, to my unni and her child and husband and to all kids and people I've met there, thank you for the memories! Till next time! It was truly a gold mountain with a people with a golden heart!
