A little background Talikud or Talicud Island is an island at the back of samal Island, which is the third district of Samal. This island has 4 baranggays namely, Sta. Cruz, Dadatan, Linusutan and Cogon. Talikud Island has a total of 7,000 number of population. This island has an electricity from generator from 12noon until 4am only. The water they drink is from the rain and they filter it. In my own view as we visited with my elementary classmate last may 6, 2017, the island is not well established. We've been in some resort and their center which is sta. Cruz but I can't see a well placed established and organized in compare to babak, a barangay in samal. This placed is known with some spell, like love spell and poison- so better to grab some food from home or from Davao city area. After I was back my trip from Thailand, I promise myself to see myself the called gold mountain of my town. Very ironic to never visit this called mountain that I was even born in poblacion monkayo which is its like 3-4 hours away from this mountain that producing gold.
