One month now in India - 7 things I realized + cost breakdown!

It has been a month since I flew from Hatyai, Thailand- Bkk- Jaipur, India and so far the journey has been amazing. All big thanks to my awesome boss who allow me to moved again to another place to engage in different culture and lifestyle.

My first time to touched and tasted snow in my 25 years :P

India has a very diverse culture that made me decide to not skip at all to all my listed countries I want to visit and experience. Listening how bad and good stories of India made me more curious how they actually are like is it really bad or it is just some other countries who also have a bad news that should not be generalize in all aspects. Let us not get too far for an example but most of my friends from Western world they are all terrified to visit Philippines for 3 reasons. One is President Duterte are killing innocent people, second is typhoon is a normal in different parts of the Philippines and lastly, Do not go to Mindanao because it is very dangerous in kidnapping and war. And as a young lady from Mindanao of the Philippines specifically Monkayo- this makes me sad, because there are tons to explore in Mindanao like Enchanted River in Surigao which the river looks incredibly blue and some untouched beaches like Talikud in Samal Island. And if you will asked if it is safe, Yes it is safe in Mindanao specially in Davao - the safest and biggest city in the Philippines. My friend from Denmark- Frederick and my big sis Liza from Australia visited me in my town and they went back to their home safe with their complete bones!

Because of my story above it helps me to have a courage to visit India and experienced it for myself with some sacrifices including covering my skin as possible so I will not give an idea for guys to be disrespected, 80 percent of Indians are vegetarian so my meat lover side will be ignored for awhile and lastly, what I may saw in YouTube  like how crazy the traffic and loudness of honks -I should expect that with all my heart and soul.

7 things I realized in India!

Before I will start I only have been to Jaipur one night, Udaipur 8 nights, a day in Delhi and I am now in Himachal Pradesh from 5th of August until now. I have been attending Ashram Yoga that cost 1500 to 2000 usd but since it is monsoon season so I only paid 750 usd (thank you to my boss for giving me a retreat to learn and have time about myself!)

1. In Himachal Pradesh - North of India they looked different Indians like European people not blonded hair but physical features like faces and heights are.

2. Rice here is expensive! they usually eat their food with japati like a crust of pizza made by flour and water

3. Go to North especially Himachal Pradesh - it is a different side of India you should not missed. Huge mountains, snow, pine trees , not polluted air and even honks are so rare to hear from the street.

4. Dalai Lama is like the pope in Buddhism - Dalai Lama moved here in Mcleodganj as a refugee after Chinese taking over the Tibet where he actually lives. Dalai Lama is a simple guy and so far it is the simplest temple I have ever been.

The following pictures are from Dalai Lama Temple in Mcleodganj, Dharamsala.

5. They respect cows as a God so they are all over the street like a street dog, usually they caused the traffic.

6. They are vegetarian so watch your words when you are a carnivore or omnivore like me, they do care a lot animals like even the chick dying because of the big bird attacking on a poor chick- they will bring that in vet to save the poor chick life.

7. Outside Himachal Pradesh - wear mask especially in Delhi. Delhi has been known as the polluted air city like you do not need to smoke cigarette, just breathe the air there!

People are nice and I feel bad to how their culture work like fixed marriage as I have heard some stories who were slowly dying inside because they never been married to whom they truly love. The food is good, Indian cuisine known for the best food. So far and at for this moment, I will suggest Himachal Pradesh to visit. You will feel relaxed and feel humbled by the sceneries and from the people itself.

In my next blog, I will share what I have learned in my Yoga class including their Hinduism Aspects in life. I have one year visa with 3 multiple exit every 3 months and again I only been here for a month and I am blowned up to see a different side of the world with a very diverse culture and beliefs! I cannot wait to share my experienced to you all!

We never live n this world to be selfish in some good stories to share and so here I am bravely making my dream come true and showing you that if I can then you can too! It takes a big courage and a lot of discomfort but it is always better to answer all the whys than dreaming to whatever the result because Life is a daring adventure or nothing at all.

Have a blessed day of you all!
