5 Halloween Dog Treats Ideas

Ingredients
● - 3 cups oats
● - 1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
● - 1/2 cup peanut butter
Instructions
● Preheat the oven to 350º.
● Pulse oats in a food processor until you achieve a powdery consistency.
● Combine all ingredients in a bowl until a dough forms.
● Drop dough into a mold or drop onto a parchment lined baking sheet to form biscuits.
● Bake for 15 minutes and allow to cool completely before offering a treat for your dog.
● Store pumpkin treats in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Treats can be frozen for longer storage.
Ingredients
● 1 Egg
● 1 Cup AP Flour
● 1½ cups Whole Wheat Flour
● ¾ cup of Almond Milk (yes it is safe) or Water
● ½ cup of NATURAL PEANUT BUTTER ...NEVER Use Sugar Free Peanut Butter with Xylitol (artificial sweetener that is toxic to pets)
● 2 tablespoons of Honey
● 1 tablespoon of baking powder
● 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (cinnamon is safe to use for your dog ...but of course don't feed your pup an entire container because anything in quantity is not a good thing...I want you to know however NUTMEG is NOT to be used ever! I am just telling you because many people feel as though cinnamon goes together perfectly and it does but NOT FOR DOGS!
● ½ teaspoon of vanilla
● 1 cup Pure Pumpkin
● Melting Yogurt Chips
Instructions
● Mix your wet ingredients together completely (Milk,Honey, Pumpkin and Egg)
● Combine your dry ingredients
● Now slowly mix in the dry into the wet by hand...mix until thoroughly combined the dough will be very pliable and easy to roll. You will know if you have to add a bit more liquid or on the other hand...a bit more flour!
● Now roll out the dough ½ inch thick and cut out your bones or whatever shape you choose
● Keep on rolling till all of your treats are cut.
● I used a 1½ inch bone cutter and I got 80 bones to give you an idea.
● Now place your bones on a cookie sheet lined with parchment for easy clean-up
● Place in a preheated 325 oven for 20 minutes
● Take the bones out and flip them
● Place back in the over for approximately 15 minutes
● Cool on a rack
● If you are icing your bones...melt your yogurt chips until smooth in a double boiler... you can dip or put the liquid into a squirt bottle and give it a Mummy Wrap design (the design uses less : )
● Now it is time for you to surprise your dog with the special treat!
Ingredients
● 1 cup plain non-fat yogurt
● 1-2 cups kale leaves
● 1/3 cup blueberries
Instructions
● Blend together 1/2 cup yogurt and blueberries.
● Pour mixture into molds.
● Blend together remaining yogurt and kale.
● Pour mixture into molds.
● Freeze for 2 -3 hours.

● Add some plain greek yogurt and blueberries to a smoothie blender.
● Blend away until smooth
● Fill it in a ice cube skull design, and if you find it thicky you can add some water
● Freeze for 30 minutes
For the Bones
● 2 ½ cups of unbleached flour
● 1 Egg
● 1 cup of water
● 1 chicken bouillon cube
For the Icing
● 1 cup nonfat plain yogurt
● 1/2 cup water
● 1and half hours plus freeze time
● Allow 20 minutes for prep plus 30 minutes for baking and 30 minutes to cool
● Allow 10 minutes for icing + freeze time
Instructions
● Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray the cookie pan lightly to prevent the bones from sticking.
● Mix all of the ingredients together and knead dough until it forms a ball.
● Make the dough into ball and into bone form
● Place the dough in the bone shaped cookie pan and press it into the shape of the bone
● Bake for 30 minutes
● Take out of the oven and allow the bones to cool. Don’t you just love the cracks? They make them look like real skeleton bones
